All returns require pre-authorization (RMA). A 20% restocking fee applies. Please read our policy carefully before requesting a return.

At Get Parts Here, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. However, we understand that sometimes returns are necessary. Please review our return policy carefully before initiating a return.

Return Authorization (RMA) Process

How to Request an RMA

To initiate a return, you must first request an RMA through one of the following methods:

  1. Online RMA Portal: Log into your account and visit the Returns Portal to submit a return request
  2. Email: Contact us at [email protected] with your order number and reason for return
  3. Contact Form: Use our Contact Us form

RMA Request Information Required

When requesting an RMA, please provide:

  • Order number
  • Item(s) you wish to return
  • Reason for return (defective, wrong item, no longer needed, etc.)
  • Photos of the product (if defective or damaged)
  • Original packaging condition

RMA Approval Timeline

RMA requests are typically reviewed within 1-2 business days. You will receive an email notification with your RMA number and return instructions if approved, or an explanation if denied.

Return Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a return, products must meet ALL of the following conditions:

Product Condition

  • Unused: Product must be in new, unused condition
  • Original Packaging: Must include all original packaging, tags, and labels
  • No Installation: Product must not have been installed, mounted, or modified in any way
  • All Accessories: Must include all original accessories, manuals, hardware, and documentation
  • No Damage: Product must not show any signs of wear, scratches, or damage
  • Resalable Condition: Product must be in condition suitable for resale as new

Proof of Purchase

You must provide proof of purchase (order number and receipt). Returns without proof of purchase will be denied.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are NOT eligible for return under any circumstances:

  • Installed Parts: Any electrical, mechanical, or performance parts that have been installed
  • Used Products: Products showing any signs of installation, use, or wear
  • Special Orders: Custom-manufactured or special-order products
  • Clearance Items: Products marked as clearance, closeout, or final sale
  • Fluids & Chemicals: Oil, coolant, brake fluid, chemicals, lubricants, etc.
  • Opened Consumables: Opened filters, gaskets, seals, or other consumable items
  • Electrical Components: Opened or installed electronic control units, sensors, modules
  • Cut or Modified Items: Any product that has been cut, drilled, painted, or modified
  • Missing Packaging: Products without original packaging or labels
  • After 30 Days: Any product after the 30-day return window has expired

Restocking Fee

Restocking Fee Calculation

The restocking fee is calculated as 20% of the product purchase price:

  • Product Price: $100.00
  • Restocking Fee (20%): -$20.00
  • Refund Amount: $80.00

Note: Original shipping charges and return shipping costs are also non-refundable (see Shipping Costs section below).

Shipping Costs and Responsibilities

Return Shipping

  • Customer Responsibility: You are responsible for paying return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped, defective product, etc.)
  • Shipping Method: We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We are not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit
  • Shipping Address: Return shipping address will be provided with your RMA approval email

Original Shipping Charges

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error. If you received free shipping on your order, the actual shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.

Refund Process and Timeline

Inspection Process

  1. Receive Return: Once we receive your return, it will be inspected within 2-3 business days
  2. Quality Check: We will verify that the product meets all return eligibility requirements
  3. Approval/Denial: You will be notified by email of refund approval or denial

Refund Calculation

If your return is approved, your refund will be calculated as follows:

Original Product Price: $100.00

Less: Restocking Fee (20%): -$20.00

Less: Original Shipping (if applicable): -$14.00

Less: Return Shipping (if not our error): -$15.00


Total Refund Amount: $51.00

Refund Payment Timeline

Once your return is approved, refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days to your original method of payment:

  • Credit/Debit Card: 7-10 business days (may take additional time depending on your bank)
  • Store Credit: Immediate (if requested in place of refund)

Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued in the following cases:

  • Product shows signs of use or installation
  • Missing original packaging or accessories
  • Product returned after 30 days but within 60 days (additional fees apply)
  • Minor cosmetic damage to packaging

Defective or Damaged Products

Our Error or Defective Products

If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect product, please contact us immediately. These returns are handled differently:

  • No Restocking Fee: Defective products or our errors are not subject to the restocking fee
  • Free Return Shipping: We will provide a prepaid return shipping label
  • Full Refund or Replacement: You will receive a full refund or replacement at no additional cost
  • Photos Required: Please provide photos of the defect or damage with your RMA request

Warranty Claims

Many products we sell are covered by manufacturer warranties. Warranty claims should be directed to the manufacturer. Contact us for assistance with warranty claims, and we will help facilitate the process.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you need a different product, you must:

  1. Request an RMA and return the original product
  2. Wait for your refund to be processed
  3. Place a new order for the desired product

Exception: If we shipped you the wrong item, we will expedite a replacement at no additional cost while you return the incorrect item.

Refused or Undeliverable Shipments

If you refuse delivery or if a shipment is returned as undeliverable:

  • Original shipping charges will not be refunded
  • Return shipping charges will be deducted from your refund
  • 20% restocking fee will apply

Cancellations

Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled before shipment for a full refund. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled and must be returned following our standard return policy.

Return Fraud Prevention

We reserve the right to refuse returns or issue partial refunds in cases of suspected fraud or abuse:

  • Excessive returns from the same customer
  • Returns of used products claimed as new
  • Returns without RMA authorization
  • Products not purchased from Get Parts Here
  • Counterfeit or altered products
